I am currently in research mode for a new project and part of that process involves site visits to locations that I hope to use to further strengthen the stories and concepts of my work. This past weekend myself and fellow artist and dear friend Tara Rule ventured down to Philadelphia to visit Eastern State Penitentiary to take part in their artist orientation program – which thoughtfully reviewed the process of submitting proposals for use of the space as well as providing an exhibit there for approved proposals. The penitentiary is a remarkable structure, and it was quite an experience to visit it. Both Tara and I are int he midst of working out a proposal which will most likely be a collaboration for the purpose of a strong proposal to submit for their art program. However, i also hope to be able to utilize the space there to incorporate into the latest project I am working out the details for and look forward to sharing more about with you as things progress.
Thank you again for those who visit here to view my work and support my art!
